We have a strong track record in creating aspirational yet deliverable strategies and frameworks for urban regeneration and development throughout the UK. We have prepared long lasting and implemented strategies for Manchester City Centre, Sheffield, Leeds, Doncaster, Milton Keynes and Nottingham. In London, our portfolio of work is very much focused on town centres. These include Streatham, Norwood, Croydon and Hounslow. We have a long term working relationship with the London Borough of Barnet to deliver Brent Cross Cricklewood where we will be creating a new town centre of a scale comparable to Stratford City.
We are currently working for both Tower Hamlets and Hackney at Hackney Wick which sits next to the Olympic Park. We are proposing a hub anchored around the station which will have a whole variety of land uses focused upon creative industries.
We are also involved in the development of planning policy in the form of action area plans for Bromley, Mill Hill in Barnet and Stratford and Lower Lea Valley on behalf of the London Borough of Newham. We understand the development plan process and the rigour that is required to achieve compliance with the recently revised PPS12. Dunstable faces a number of challenges not only in terms of the current performance of the town centre, but its future as a centre for an enhanced population. The historic fabric is tremendous and provides an attractive environment. Modern living and town centre uses require modern buildings and these need to be considered sensitively. Traffic is key issue that needs to be resolved and the masterplan process will need to be cognisant of proposals that are already on the table.
Our team brings together all of the skills required by the brief, together with strong local, national and international experience that will add value and help to deliver the Council’s and wider stakeholder’s requirements. We believe that the priority for the work is to establish an ambitious but credible and deliverable masterplan for the future of Dunstable.
The key question to be answered is:
